I have been a patient of CMO ofr a very long time. I have had multiple surgeries for an accident that nearly took my leg and left me with a permanent back injury. These doctors were the most caring, kind, and skilled doctors around. They have done all of the appropriate interventions and treatments to ensure the best outcome possible for me. They are wonderful doctors and I would never go elsewhere.
Here we go....Some kids vandalize the cemetary so the homeless need to move. Why is it like this? The homeless do not like being homeless, they too wish they had a warm bed in an enclosed space to call home. If evveryone wants them gone then stop shipping our money and aid to other countries for their homeless and hungry and start working on helping ours here!
I guess my finger is pointing but not just at the local law enforcement but also at hypocrites like you. You want to ensure that you do not have to see the homelessness that exists in our towns, cities, or in the state and nation. Why is that? Is it because you do not care if they are homeless as long as you have a roof over your head and food to fill your belly? Do you realize that a full 80% of the homeless are ill and need assistance but people like you vote to refuse help? How much have you sent to Haiti this year or Chile? Or the gulf coast to assist with the cleanup effort. If people can give to those in other states and other countries, don't you believe they should start by giving at home in their own towns? Maybe then, we can ALL sleep in a bed under cover every night.
This man is 84 years old! Call adult protective and have him evaluated and placed in assisted living. There is no need to keep arresting him as this is an obvious cry for someone to help him! Where is the compassion and protection in 'Protect and Serve"?
Why must everyone judge everyone else? Why is it so hard to allow everyone to pursue his or her dream of happiness and contentment? Why can't we let them to feel acceptance for who they are regardless of our feeling? I do so hope that those who are judging have the opportunity to be judged and found lacking themselves.
I do not care what color a person is someone will have something to say about it. If I were purple, would anyone care?? No. If I were green, would anyone care? No. I am white and see a black person in cuffs do I care?? No! I do not see color anymore...I see right and wrong and I know that if you have done wrong you will be caught. However, if a black American sees another person of color in cuffs, they could be covered in the blood of the person they killed and it would still be racism?? Would that same person see a white man and say the cops were racist and after a white person? Look at the numbers...there is no more minority in this country we all belong and we all do right and wrong. If we are to be a country with a unified front then we need to drop all of the terms we use and just say...we are AMERICAN!!
This seems to be status quo for the city of Auburn. With Mr. Aho at the helm and the council backing him up, there will only be more grief for the city. Not only has he hired Lewiston to paint lines on the roads, but he also gave Lewiston the sign making equipment and told them he would buy the signs from them. Where does that help the budget? It seems to me that every cut taken from the budget is hitting the vital services and never the services that make the difference. Perhaps he should take a cut in pay and the councilors too? Maybe he could also give back the car he is driving in that the city bought for him and pays to maintain and gas up? Yes it is true. And he is the one that told supervisors at public works they could not drive their trucks home when they are forced to stay home on call and available to work any time, day or night, week-ends and weeknights. The fire department 'shares' chief position and the police department take cuts and remain under-staffed. Let’s hope there isn't another major catastrophe in the future, we can't afford to cover personnel to work for it. Maybe, next we can sell our fire trucks, police cruisers, and public works trucks so we can hire it done? Does that make any sense? No? Well, neither does wanting to cut the vital areas in a lame attempt at a band-aid. I think it is time that people realize if they want a wonderful cutting edge city, they need to pay for it and make the right people accountable.
Can you imagine the revenue the state could have if they legalized it and then taxed the same way they do cigarettes? We would have a surplus in our budget for sure. I don't touch the stuff and wouldn't, however, it is no worse than sitting and having a beer or two in the evening at home.
