There is nothing which states that this woman is raising and selling pups. She could just as logically have a sled team and/or show dogs; so, don't jump on the monetary bandwagon. Kennel licenses are pretty useless for sled dogs or show dogs; both of which have to be individually licensed to travel to meets.

Sometimes I wish that the reporters would do a little more research ! Although the FAIR is 19th Century, the present fairgrounds has only been its home since about 1966-67. Before that, the racetrack, bleachers, midway and expo halls were all located where Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School now sits. Also, it was the Oxford COUNTY Fair ... not the Oxford (town) Fair ...but the SJ seems to have a difficult time differentiating between the county and the town in most issues.

Just a query, if noone else was there from whom did he borrow a cell phone. That's a pretty isolated spot. It's not like you can "run next door" to a store or something. I too hate to read the implied accusation that all homosexual people are child molesters. In fact, there are many fewer, per capita, in the gay community than there are in the heterosexual community. Child molestors are a type unto themselves, and they can be "the boy next door".
What a nice example of "innocent until proven guilty", Candiceanne. We are always so quick to jump to the side of the child ... ever know a child who lied ... or was coached into believing something ?

I cannot adequately express my sadness to read this. Alfred and Albert were my friends, nearly from birth. We had that childhood, one-upmanship relation that becomes nostalgia as we age. I especially remember a large galvanized tub of fish, a big rock in Jaakkola's Bell Hill yard, and being covered in fish scales ! The twins won that round.
My heart goes out to all who loved Alfred, especially Albert. I am very glad that I had the opportunity to see them at the last OHHS class reunion.
