Collins and Snowe are saying they believe in trickle down, voodoo economics. This is the same policy that has been in place since Ronald Reagan and had contributed to the destruction of the middle class in America. I wrote them both and asked them to vote yes and help people stay in their homes. They voted No, because when push comes to shove they are Republicans, and Republicans represent Big Business, the same business that has been Encouraged to off shore at the expense of the tax payer and workers both.
We can't make Collins or Snowe middle class or poor working class people, but we can make them experience unemployment. I encourage my fellow Mainers to these to bums out, and teach all that would claim to represent We the People, we wont tolerate lip service and trickle ON economics while multi nationals pay little or nothing in taxs.
The only way America will restore the middle class is to restore the Progressive tax polices of the pre-Reagan era. Vote against these to shills for Big Business, I know I will!

Some oil companies are paying NOTHING in tax, Billionaires like Warren Buffet pay less in tax then their secretaries do, just ask him!
During the American high point, post WW2 to the 1970s the top tax rate ( before deductions) was 90%, houses and cars were much more affordable because the working people had more unions, the top wage earners had their incomes held down, and the working poor were lifted up. This worked great, and the middle class was born, Middle class is created, it does not naturally exist because income tends to gather at the top without regulation, thus, what has been happening since Reaganism has been to shift income from the poor and middle class to the rich! And then they pay less tax then a middle class person does!!! Anyone who has lived 50 years can see it!!
The question now is, what kind of country are we going to be? Do we want more of the same? Or do we want equality? Do we want work to pay a living wage?
These huge Corporations have no allegiance to any country, and the tax dollars from the soda you buy, to the Federal income withholding, go to encourage our jobs to be off shored!! Is this something working people want? How is that mc job working for you? If your lucky enough to have one!!!

I agree, more focus should be on shoe shops leaving for Mexico! Perhaps these college girls are attempting to get us use to the day when we have to choose between food and clothes because all the good jobs are gone.

What they see here is a resurgence of Moderate Republicans, of the type that were found before Reaganism helped ship off all the good jobs to countries without labor rights.
It is the Social Conservitive, that is rejected.
The problem with even the moderate is the Free Trade idea, one would have to go back a long way to find a Liberty loving conservative!

When I was travaling through Utah, I saw a man get told to put his shirt on or he would be arrested. It was mid summer and 96 degrees out!
You may say, well that's Utah, fair enough but...
When I was in California visting family, I was informed, DO NOT pull over and take a leak! Well what about in the middle of the Mojove desert I asked, I saw a huge rock formation, pulled over and went behind it to make sure I would not be seen taking care of my necessity. My daughter informed me that I could have been arested and charged as a SEX OFFENDER!!
It was hard for me to believe this, but I asked a truck driver friend and it was confermed. Yes I could be arested as a sex offender for taking a leak!

It dawned on me that the church women decided to protest all female because they One; want to shame the topless women back into their clothes and Two; the Church Women Know, the female Gets Off by exhibiting themselves and prancing around Men!
