Pathetic. Does the 11%

Pathetic. Does the 11% interest start each quarter too if you are late? I guess this is how our selectmen control spending and bring the town in to line with a budget. It's no wonder our state and federal officials run huge deficits. We can't even get our town selectmen off the juice.

If the town is having a problem with cash flow and need to increase the speed of revenue flow, and cannot stop spending, maybe have a SALE and give incentive for people to pay early. They clearly have an incentive to pay taxes..why not have an incentive to pay them early? I know...I know...that's not how it works. Let's just charge the poor even more because not they are late again. Pretty damned sad that these guys look to this as an answer to their spending habits.

HOORAY! Finally some

HOORAY! Finally some worthwhile legislation. Well, in a sense that those who don't understand the words of the Constitution and Bill of Rights may now have further clarification and more language to comprehend. Let's hope these bills become LAW!

Somewhere in this comment:

Somewhere in this comment:
"Out of respect for the state committee, the intraparty nature of the issue, and the overall party process, I don't believe it would be appropriate for me to comment at this time.", Rich seems to display an attitude that is completely inept of understanding how the process works. Any registered Republican can go to the county committee, vote for a state committee member to represent them and then contact that member to discuss support for a party leader/chairman. Thus, Rich ignores the fact that communicating to the mass media is a great way to communicate to tens of thousands of voters, who are Republicans, and his potential constituent base. The "party process" should be one of open dialogue, transparency and the availability of a party leader to comment on such a mundane issue. The GOP can do better, and needs to, if they are going to develop a message to take to Augusta. I wish all well, and wish more thought in comments such as this were placed beforehand.
