I've known lots of people in

I've known lots of people in my life with Tourettes and ADHD, and NONE of them have felt compelled to kill anyone. This whole thing is crap and a waste of taxpayer's money.

OMG people get over

OMG people get over yourselves! Do you really think he got a "deal" because he was a former cop? Open your eyes and take a look at other cases going on in the state right now where "ordinary" citizens are given deals. Look at David Cook who only got 6 years for killing a baby. It's happening everywhere....not just because he's a cop. Look at all the repeat OUI Offenders who keep getting caught, and keep getting little or no jail time or fines. You same people are screaming for blood from them too. I don't think he's getting preferential treatment because he's a cop......he's getting it because our judicial system stinks!
Now with that said........he should get a stiffer penalty because he was a cop.....and should be living by a higher standard. However, while I don't know Mitchell personally, I know his family, and I believe he was no longer a cop when the accident happened. I could be wrong though.

Wow queen....for someone who says she can't talk about this....you're doing an awful lot of talking. I'm thinking you need to really keep quiet beore you're in a situation you don't want to be in.......get my drift? You rambling on and on is not helping Taylor, nor will it bring her back. And it certainly isn't helping the investigation. Let the police do their jobs.

Ok, first I was under the impression that there was one grown man and two young boys in the apartment....not 3 grown men. Did I miss something? Also it is my understanding that the police are investigating why three people made it out of the apartment and one little girl did not. Until they complete their investigation and determine anyone was negligent, how about we hold off passing judgement? And finally.....how many of you have ever woken up to find their home on fire? It is a scary, panicked, disorienting situation. It's possible all three of the people who survived thought the little girl was with one of the others.....not to mention the fact that if this little girl did not sleep there on a normal basis, they forgot she was there. I mean how many of us have woken in our own beds in the middle of the night from a nightmare and not realized where we are for a few minutes? Now combine that with fire surrounding you and how do you think you would react?
Again, lets reserve judgement until we know all the facts and pray this poor little girl finds peace.

"He said Waterman would not

"He said Waterman would not have kept paperwork or other evidence related to the gun if he committed the crimes."

There's a reasonable explanation for that....Waterman is not the brightest bulb, and if he thought he had a chance of getting away with this, why would he think to hide the paperwork?

It looks to me like none of the parties involved led exemplary lives. Perhaps if these people tried to be more upstanding members of the community, this would never have happened.

How about we start laying

How about we start laying the blame where it belongs here......in this case it would be with the parents. THEY called police, THEY told police their son had a gun. When the police got there the son pointed it at the officers. They were protecting themselves and Donalds parents. I am sick to death of people who are so quick to blame police when something like this happens. If you don't want to die then stop pointing guns at police officers....it's that simple. And having a civilian panel with no knowledge of the law (no doubt made up of cop haters such as Tron) is just about the dumbest idea I've ever heard. Civilians on a power trip would have all cops fired and then who would protect us?

Andy...you're an idiot. I

Andy...you're an idiot. I was very interested in everything you were saying until you started bashing the cops. You talk like someone who's been on the wrong side of the law once or twice. For your information, in a homicide investigation the State Police are always called in. They have people who have the training to be able to do the investigation properly. Most city and county officers do not. But what bugs me the most about your post is the way you talk trash about Sheldon in one sentence and then say how sorry you are in the next. Kind of hypocritical don't you think? I know the Rumford area fairly well, and for those of you who keep saying what a nice neighborhood this is, you're kidding yourselves. I'm sure it was years ago....but over time the scumbags and the drug dealers and users have been moving in, and the nice families have been moving out, and quite frankly I'm surprised it's taken this long for something like this to happen.
With that said I'd like to add how sorry I am that this happened......whatever your lifestyle, or your choice of residence, nobody deserves to have their life snuffed out in such a violent manner, and nobody's family should have to go through this. My thoughts and paryers are with everyone.

What a beautiful picture

What a beautiful picture this is of Brenda! My condolences to her family. If you've ever had the pleasure of having Brenda wait on you in any of the places she worked, you know what a sweet caring person she was. Always had a smile and a kind word for me whenever I saw her. She was an awesome person and she will be missed.
