Lets see...Nutting and the state agreed there was a flaw in the way he calculated reimbursement and billing...thus they hammered out an agreement where he paid back money AS AGREED TO by the state. All this while there were clearly DEMOCRATS in control of the legislature AND the governors office. Sounds to me like he didn't get away with anything and given Democrats were clearly in control, no one here but you thinks they would LET him get away with anything if they thought they could make an example of him...isn't it about tim you stopped whining for nothing? Such creative lies you weave...
Pattie, please feel free to share with the bloggers exactly who I namecalled....I simply pointed out who the first offender might be, and as there is no one posting here under either of those names, I don't possibly see how i could have offended anyone....oh and as the LSJ has a policy of open and full disclosure of who is posting as part of the requirement to be able to post...how about a similar policy to share with us exactly who made the complaint....
Jonathan, I must call on you to provide your reference materials for the 1.5 million jobs created in the auto industry...I spent some time this evening and found 3 different sites which all seemed to point to 1.1 milion - 1.2 million jobs SAVED, which is far different than creating new jobs...same with your "increase to the GDP"...sorry but if these jobs were all saved - its simply a case of the GDP not being reduced or los by that tune, and should never be confused with a true gain for new job creation...while I can appreciate jobs being saved, its not the same as making such an outlandish claim trumpetting new jobs....so when you have a spare moment, your refernece material would be wonderful for those who wish to see true facts....
1. Yes its a representative democracy...I did not say they could not dislike I just asked them to have the guts to say who they are...oh wait you like things in secret..and besides according to certain liberals here you should not be allowed to blog because you do not live here...
2. The Governors report...uh you mean Baldacci and his friends in wind power a couple years ago...I'll pass thanks...that report is full of more hot air and less wind...
3. This newspaper only seems to be excellent when it says something the lbierals agree with, any other time sits referred to as a rag...go figure...
Perhaps these blogs would be better if you could see who clicked like vs dislike...I simply call for an economic report due to the massive subsidies and someone clicks dislike...and we all know who that particular person is right Jethro/Danielle?
Insight....when you lose an argument or are proven to have lied on the blogs you simply hurl insults and invectives of little meaning or truth...and then move o a new subject...I've only met Mr. Stone a couple time and am nowhere near the inteeligence or class he has shown in respects to working with the administration and volunteering his valuable time on the Turnpike board for no pay....concepts that are entirely foreign to you.
Angelo....perhaps it would have worked better if the Appropriations Committee had not jumped the gun and started a process BEFORE the human services committee had finished their work - they are the ones tasked to work on a solution, not Appropriations..
I again call on the LSJ to do an economics side of wind power today...the cost of the towers, installation, land acquisition & maintenance, offset by most being only about 40% efficient due to lack of wind and maintenance time..and then compare that to the rates taxpayers must pay to have them....the payback on these towers is almost three times their expected lifespan....but no one wants to question the money people like Obama and Baldacci are giving away to these people in subsidies....
