Governor LePage is using smoke and mirrors to find the funds to partially pay the MaineCare debt. He's relying on a projection that the economy will continue to improve. If the economy doesn't improve, his mirror will crack.
I have always found it ironic that conservatives are against big, powerful, intrusive governments, but have no problem granting the government the authority to demand a citizen produce “papers” without just cause.
freyt, there is a difference between asking for "papers" when entering a country (the United States does and always has) and asking for "papers", without just cause, while that citizen is in his or her own country.
LePage lowered taxes as mayor of Waterville? Obviously, you're ignorant of the powers of the Waterville mayor. Laughable, but ignorance and crassness (girly man, Baldy, welfare slackers) are fashionable these days.
Nice try at perpetuating the myth.
"To me Paul Lepage is a real man"...why am I not surprised.

"He has a big job to do such as...creating jobs"?
Since when can the government create jobs without raising taxes? We don't need more government jobs.
"I am so sick of paying state taxes to people who can work."
Is Marden's hiring?

I agree. I believe the governor needs to cut his waist. He's getting a little thick around the middle.
I thought the Glenn Beck faithful believed that government can't create jobs, only the private sector can? Yet you want the governor to?
No, instead of moving elsewhere, we'll stay and eliminate the "waist".
