What is about "Private Property" that you people don't understand? Hunters can't hunt private land without permissione from the land owner. Snow mobiles and ATV's can't use private land without the land owners permission. Did it occur to anyone of the fishermen to ask permission of the land owners, who had clearly posted their property, to make sure it was ok? Oh hell no! Its a benefit, so it must be ok! How about if some stranger parked in your driveway to go to the benefit yard sale down the street without asking you first.

Good for you Paula! You should practice your religion any way you choose. And although I am not a Christian, I applaud your conviction. About Happy Holiday greetings...I believe that Happy Holidays was actually a greeting that was meant to include Thanksgiving, Christmas and new Years, rather than mentioning each holiday individually. At least that's how I remember it. However, as I am not a Christian, I appreciate a Happy Holiday rather than a Merry Christmas sentiment. But for you....Merry Christmas!

If the pit has been in constant operation since the 50's, where's the problem? Sounds like Michelle is a "not in my neighborhood" kinda gal, even though the pit was probably there long before she was.

Well said, Diane! Now, if you would only come up with the millions it will take to purchase and renovate the building as not to further burden the taxpayers, we'd be most greatful! Just make the check out to City of Auburn. Oh, and I not only have attended many performances there...I have performed there as well.

Now, now kids...just because y'all is po don't mean that you wanna leave the great state of poverty to make something of yourselves. Remember, you have pine trees and deer and bunny wabbits and such. and heaven forbid that you should go somewhere where lots of people live and give your children opportunities thats they'll never realize in povertyville. Heck...they'll be able to make almost $25, 000,00 a year. what more do they want? Greedy li'l urchins!

Thanks Dave! That brought back loads of great memories. I also remember shopping crowded Lisbon Street and stopping for lunch at Nickle's Tea Room. What a treat! And I also delighted in visiting Santa at Peck's. I still have photos of that. Merry Christmas!
