Did i just read that a 46y.o Man got 120 days for putting himself inside a 15 year old girl?!.... Wow, Go Maine!..Hope Karma bites him harder than the judge did, what the hell is wrong with our System, SICK PEOPLE get to walk the streets, i hope somone 30years older than him gives him some sex to see how gross it must feel!!
I think this is a wonderful letter, it’s about time someone came out and stood up for Maine a little more and spoke up about the horrific drug habits, Your right Chelsea, law enforcement seems to be focusing on catching all these people with the bath salts that were once legal, but little do they know, the common prescriptions that are still legal that Maine’s doctors are handing out are going straight to the streets in most towns, people hurting themselves just to get pills, selling to minors just to make their money, Pain killers and downers are not the way to go when on the road to a healthy happy life, If more people spoke up like this and tried to help I think it could start to make a difference. Thanks for the read!
Ruth, some of the people on here seem to be very narrow minded, and cannot seem to forget the past and what they have heard of the stories, as you can read in my comment on this article, it’s very clear to see people are still dwelling on rumors/stories from the past and not focusing on what’s important here, I feel that your son should have gotten the bench, that was such a wonderful idea, and to think that they turned it down “because of conflict-specific memorials, rather than person-specific “ is pathetic, There is plenty of room in the park, and Farmington to be able to honor those who deserve it, like Justin, each person is special, don’t let any of these idiots responding to this ruin your mood, they don’t matter. Xo
I just don’t think people are being open minded in this matter, it’s a bench, Justin did a lot more for our country than most would think of doing, he saw things none of us could imagine seeing and he sadly brought home the fight and lost, mentally. This is something that no one can understand unless they have been there, Everyone has opinions, and Some more than others, But what I don’t understand, is everyone seems to be bringing his criminal history into this, yes, he made mistakes, he has gotten into fights, what man hasn’t?..That’s what’s wrong with this country, everyone is so quick to jump at what they hear, or hate people because of the imagine they’ve seen, what about the person inside? The person who has family, friends, fought for his country for YEARS and needed help that he WASN’T given..What about that? I hate seeing all these negative people writing what they feel should have happened, save your strength for your own personal drama.
Those who are heartless and Have no motive for being so rude need to get a grip and move on as well, including you. I can State my opinion without someone like you trying to down what many of us are thinking, I didn’t ask for your rebuttal I was placing my comment on the story as i have the right to do. As far as Grace Burton goes, god bless her, she was horrifically stabbed many times and left for dead , That has absolutely nothing to do with this situation, Justin did nothing so wrong that he should have been killed for it, yes it happens all over the world, I understand, but that’s just an unnecessary thing to say when you know his family and friends are reading this& as far as the comment “Stop excusing it, Grieve and move on” I won’t even comment back to that asinine statement. You can only do some much for someone who needs mental help and the court was willing to grant him that the day before this happened, just not in time, so friends& family are not to blame here, This is the REAL world, with REAL violence and REAL cops who makes mistakes with their choice of Weapon. Please don’t turn this into a tacky Facebook page by responding with such ignorance.
He is no hero, and now the news is going to make him out to be a "a passionate, caring person" who apparently didnt think one shot to the head was enough? -"Rosie has been with the Farmington police force since June of this year and has NOT received training at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro. Rosie is scheduled to participate in an 18-week training session at the academy beginning in January 2012, the chief said."- That says it all, A Life could have been saved. Officer rosie may be remorseful, but thats never going to be good enough.
I do not understand the point to having this news article? Yes, first of all I completely understand that this woman went through a lot mentally dealing with her husband being injured by Justin, and her husband has gone through even more healing physically, However I find is so very disrespectful that she most likely took the time to write to sun journal and come out with this story again now that he is dead and cannot respond, this is a waste of news, the story has already had its time to shine in the papers. It is done and over with and now we are focused on another Crime, A Murder. Justin did not deserve to die, no matter how many times he’s had “run ins” with the police, or if he’s gotten into fights, He served our country, he did more for the USA then most people will ever think of doing and most “trouble makers” don’t make it past the first test, he suffered mentally because of the sacrifices he made for all of us, Me and my boyfriend are blessed to have known him in his last few months as were many of our other friends, and I can say that he was one of the smartest people I’ve met, he wanted to become a police officer one day but instead was killed by one due to lack of training on officer Rosies end.
