I don't think that article was meant for anyone with a normal muffler on their motorcycle anymore than looking into anything else illegal is against those that abide by the law. If its like alot of the other laws it don't get enforced anyway. I defy anyone to be in town and not be blasted by radios with the base so high it vibrates your car, as well as your house when they go by, Dogs that bark incessantly. How many times does a dog have to bark before your awakened or if your just trying to watch tv or read? There have been so many "feel good laws" passed that I wonder if anyone remembers them all anyway. If you drive a motorcycle, car, truck or whatever and it meets the code and inspection that you don't have a problem. I guess if you have a motorcycle that will wake the dead then your not doing it to save gas money and the person that can stand and talk while their dogs barks and barks is just being inconsiderate of anyone else and nothing to do with the laws.
You are 100% right Al. Suing has gotten to be a way of life and we can thank all these ambulance chasers for that I am afraid. Before you respond. Yes there are legitimate suits but there is a higher number of (a way to get a few bucks) then legitimate ones. You can sue some of these places and get money only cause its cheaper to settle then pay to fight it in court so they look guilty. If you ever get sick, cancer or any thing I guess there is a lawyer out there that will help you sue someone. If you chose to smoke, drink, overeat or other things to numerous to mention then you are responsible if you continue to do it. Who hasn't taken Tylenol at some point in their life? Well now the lawyers got them on their list to sue. If you smoke you can quit, if you drink you can stop, those are not diseases that just happens through no fault of your own.

The inspections should be both ways. Putting big holes in the walls, having a stove that you wouldn't even heat water on or a bathtub that you wouldn't wash a pig in is not the fault of the landlord. No one wants big brother looking over their shoulder every minute but because of some that have destroyed apartments before frequent inspections will have to take place and tenants will be held responsible and not the landlord. These apartments don't come with cleaning ladies and no one should be warned in advance that the inspectors are coming. If the place is inspected and approved then if its destroyed then the tenant is to blame. Its your home. Keep it clean or get out.

I realize that alot of parents have gone to work by the time their child gets ready for school (as did I) but feeding and discipling a child begins at home. If you have a box of cereal that never needs replacing then wake up parent, your child ain't eating breakfast and its up to you to do something about it. If the family is on food stamps then we are paying twice for that cereal. Maybe if calculators, IPads, computers and breakfast don't turn out any Einsteins maybe studying, paying attention in class, no cellphone and discipline at home might be a way to help.

You listen to some of the talk shows with "those in the know" and they will tell you that gas is high cause people have cut down on consumption and therefore some refineries are shutting down so the price goes up. I don't own an SUV but why should I ride a bike while all of Wash. drive SUV's, fly all over and their way of life continues without change. No one is "tightening their belts" except for the little guy. Its not even a campaign issue as they all are avoiding it and like everything else its the other guys fault. No matter who gets to be President he don't have the power to override the crooks in Congress or throughout the Federal gov. You can't even have a day where no one buys gas, bread, steak or whatever cause those that have the money will still do it cause they can and the little guy loses again. When you pay this much for gas and read when the big oil companies post their profits for the quarter its enough to make one sick. There is something very wrong in this country and its being wrecked by crooks, greed and politicians.

Social Security and Medicare are going down the tubes as you can see right here in the paper but if it wasn't being handed out to everyone who never paid a dime into it, it would be a different story. Of course with people in office that are only worried about lining their own pockets and have a secure retirement aren't gonna do anything except promise "if they are re-elected" We should know by now that is re-election propaganda and nothing more. When someone with the integrity of Olympia Snowe has had enough cause nothing gets down then its time for the voting public to wake up and smell the roses before it does become a Banana Republic.
