We all know all doctors are rich. Hospitals are just ripping us off. They don't need the money and don't deserve to be paid, NOT. Maybe the Dems should ask the great Mr. Baldacci how to pay off his old debts. Mr. Baldacci is out there making noice about a comeback.
I hope that the judge is as understanding with this person as she is with defendants she has had at trial. To quote the paper and the judge from my son's manslaughter trial: "gross deviation from standard", "foolish and immature", "genuinely poor judgment.", or "His conduct posed a serious risk of death or harm to himself or others but did not care." These are the words used to describe the logic used by the judge to find someone not guilty of any wrong doing that killed someone in a car crash in a 25 MPH zone. I hope that all involved in the accident are fine and glad no one was seriously injured.
In the past my son's death and the stories that followed generated 100s of comments in the different social medias. It makes me happy to see so few on this story. It has been six years since his death and it appears that the Karkos family and this newpaper are the only ones still trying to tie this mess to my son's death. Perhaps the newspaper will take less interest in Kenny Mark and stop putting out stories about him and let this mess be put to rest. To all those through out the years that have prayed for us and supported us, thank you very much.
I attended Kyle's trial. As much as I wished for a different outcome, the judge's decision rested on an import point that Kyle's lawyer brought up: the act had to be a "gross deviation" from normal behavior. Kelly is suing for what is called innocent bystander. One of the elements is the emotions had to be "beyond what a reasonable person could endure". Any cost you choose to accept after the fact are usually not allowed. These were minor injuries and non life threatening. I'm not sure taking time off from work is something that was needed and not something that was chosen. It will be interesting to see if a broad statement for an element of a case is what is used against the Karkos family - the same as was used for the Karkos family during Kyle's trial. That's what lawyers are for.
I understand how Kelly feels. I thought I was going to pass out when the judge said not guilty to all charges. I did not believe the AG came close to proving man slaughter, but I don't understand how it is not reckless driving and driving to endanger when you admit to running red lights, almost hitting another vehicle, and then killing someone in a 25 MPH zone. I wish I had seen my son hit by someone coming out of a parking lot and not a beautiful young man in the back seat of a car with his eyes open and blood drying on the side of his face. I do not agree with anyone hitting someone else with a car, but Panzino is telling us it was an accident and the AG could not prove otherwise. I hope the Karkos family and all their friends are as sympathetic and understanding when it comes to my son Travis who also saw his brother in the back seat of Kyle's car within seconds of the accident. Travis and our family did not get to hear a doctor tell us they are minor injuries and Kenny will be fine. It has been six years and it appears we are no closer to letting our family have time to heal. This is the second issue in a month that has brought this whole mess and the feelings back to our family as if it were a week ago the crash happened.
I would call it a Redneck Bash with guarenteed Mainiac type activities. Everyone knows now about this event and the wacky kind of things they plan. Of course he would have to make sure the local hockey team didn't get all bent out shape. No ice Hebron that time of year.
discrimination- Treating a man other than a white single male, the same as a single white male living in Maine. In case you didn't know single white men with no dependents do not qualify in Maine.
It appears the person writing this assumes the congress people involved can only handle a single industry. I suggest they can not handle a single industry or a single issue. I think we should do our best to separate by counties, not having towns in the same counties being represented by different reps. Is the real problem they could be splitting the union vote, which could cause a problem. I think that any current representative should be excluded from the residency requirement until they are voted out of office.
We don't need to take care of every cause in the state. Stop gambling and put on more dinners and dances.
What is missing in this story is that the people of Maine voted twice not to include the clause sexual preference in our discrimination law. The former dictators that made up our state government decided we didn't know what we were voting on and passed the law anyway. Bathrooms are labeled based on sex, and sex is dictated by nature, not a mental state. An orange is an orange even it wants to be a grapefruit!
