As my screen name suggests, I do not live in the U.S. As a U.S./Maine Citizen (I vote!) I chose to leave the U.S. and move to a foreign country. You progressives with your socialist agenda and taxes drove my wife and I away. Be that as it may, my question is: Rumor is that the U.S. Citizens who have no health care insurance through a govt approved plan will be "fined/taxed". Is this true? Can any of you supporters of Zerobama health care answer that question? Since we live in a foreign country and pay into the health care system here ($37 a month) why would we be fined/taxed? btw... U.S. health care insurance is not honored here.
I would reply that I am in contact with many Vets daily and it looks like you are in the minority. I applaud the Togus administration. Perhaps Mainers have a better situation than others in the country. I'm happy for you. I signed my name and served as did many others who receive substandard treatment from the VA. Your own observation does not include the entire VA system. Good for you and good for Maine vets but to claim the entire VA system is great leaves others wondering.
