By-catch

I would ask, what condition is the by-catch in when it is brought aboard in the nets? If it is undamaged, return it to the water. If it is dead or will die when returned to the water, in my view, it would be better to use it and regulate sustainability another way.

same-day voter registration

I see no problem with pre-registering. Many of us are at the city/town office numerous throughout the year and registering could be accomplished then. I don't believe the elderly have a problem with is because most of them have been registered for years. Yes, Maine has a very low voter fraud issue and this would help keep it that way in the future. The city/town clerks have much to do on vote day, this would ease their work load at a time of increased activity and distraction.

DO PEOPLE IN AMERICA [REALY] HAVE ANY SAY IN WHAT GOVERMENT DOES

DO PEOPLE IN AMERICA [REALLY] HAVE ANY SAY IN WHAT GOVERNMENT DOES ??? I believe the answer is "NO", until everyone can have a common agenda that benefit all and not select interests dividing the 'pie' for their own interests only. A start would be to compel congress to live by the rules and laws they impose on the people they represent, with no exception.
