My heart goes out to the family..so sad to see that her brother was killed just a couple years ago too. I wish people would just slow down in this nasty weather and the streets would be taken care of a little bit better. Seems like they are being cheap with the salt or whatever it is they put down on the roads. I had to go out in this yesterday morning and it was a couple hours into the mess before they did anything to the roads.
This is what happens when you give people too much power...they take advantage...funny how he was surprised and hurt...sounds like a big ole liar, and a baby to boot!!!
I love the way it takes forever for the Sun Journal site to load, so when you hit save again, it doubles your comment..
I think it is a shame what they do to people when something happens to them physically...I can understand why there is no loyalty to businesses anymore...I have seen this done to many people at my place of employment and it is a disgrace.
I'm sure Rogerson has himself convinced that he didn't do it so he can live the rest of his life without remorse and guilt. I remember when this happened and I was a young mother of 2 young girls at the time..I was afraid to let them play in our own yard that did indeed border woods and fields. It is the mentality of so many hunters I run across in my daily life, working with mainly men. They are indeed a different breed...
Between BIW wanting a tax break and FairPoint wanting an increase where does it end...it's time for the people to get these damn breaks....enough with everything going up already...I work at BIW and I really see the greed in this company...I think FairPoint is just as greedy and it's time they stop trying to bleed us dry...we have no more to give...what part of that do they not get??? I get paid well but I still have nothing to see after all my bills are paid....and they want more...where will it come from??? we can't pull it our of our A@*...makes me ill
I work at BIW and there is plenty of work. This is done every year to balance their budgets and it is always done before the Holidays! We have plenty of work with one ship in the water and another two going up..They hired a bunch of people into one of the departments just a few weeks ago just to lay them off now...Imagine giving up a job thinking that you finally have a decent paying job, just to get told after a few weeks of work that you are getting laid off.. I've been there for 24 years and it has been this way since General Dynamics bought the yard...the ones that actually build the ships are always the one getting laid off...We don't see this top heavy company lay off management..they seem to be increasing in size..
Do people not read the news...I can't believe that there are still some that think you would have to pay to receive winnings!!!
Too bad LePage doesn't have the common sense that most of us have...he doesn't see things the way other people do and there is a small following of ignorant people that will side with him no matter what is presented to them. Not making health care accessible is a real slap in the face for Mainers who struggle with paying bills in this state. Let's face it, companies don't pay enough to cover the cost of the bare essentials, like heat, rent, electricity and food. Too bad LePage doesn't read comments on these articles..maybe something would penetrate that thick skull of his..
