It's unfortunate the Sunjournal keeps directing this ordinance at Chip directly; It is purely circumstantial that this petition arrived around the same time as the conflict accusation. This ordinance was written in February and the petition started circulating in March. It was not written with one particular Selectmen in mind; I personally heard the writer of this ordinance tell Tom Standard that it was not directed for Chip. Unfortunately, Mrs. Standard has never taken the time to talk to the writer of the ordinance or anybody who supports it for that matter. So, my point, Don't go off Sunjournal fiction; get the facts from the direct source. I am sure he would be willing to give his reasoning for it if anybody asked.

I believe MMA states that all meetings must be recorded..... It's unfortunate that selectmen do as they wish how they wish; they forget they do not own a town, they are working for the taxpayers. Taxpayers really need to unite and put these small town politicians in order! I am not from Canton, but believe me, our small town has similar issues......
