Unfort this is exactly ObamaCare in Maine. This "Narrow Network" dreamed up by Maine Health and Anthem is one of two insurance plans offered as an exchange. Unfort, this has the potential to make people shift their providers. It is already being rumored that Anthem will want to roll all their policies into this plan, including all the large policies that are written for large companies, schools etc. If that happens, I'm afraid CMHG will be, in very short order, be forced out of business. This would devastate health care for Western Maine if Bridgton and Rumford close. No one, not Stevens or MMC will have the capacity to cover all the people who use CMHG for services now.
I'm glad they're concentrating on the really important stuff.
Went there 2 years ago and head back in June for a conference. For as many people that are there, it was very low key. Strong police presence, tons of private security. I'm surprised there isn't more trouble. Typically press overreaction in my opinion.
Too bad the real issue continues to be avoided. The mental health system in Maine and the United States is broken. Every one of these mass shootings has a strong mental health base. And yet we continue to refuse to discuss this as being the major cause. Why is that?!
Claire, do dismiss mental health issues related to mass killings it to ignore reality. It is time that everyone's mental health status is "checkable" when a background check is done. Perhaps even the household needs to be considered, is someone with sig mental health issues living in the home with firearms? I'm not advocating carte blanche rejection of the purchase, but simply require a medical clearance before the purchase.
How about a few pictures?!
It's too bad that this person is hired to film every spoken word, to be edited for the next election. This behavior does not belong in Maine. Every Democrat and Republican should be calling their state organizations and demand this stop.
Well, apparently the Rt 302 Corridor hasn't gotten the message yet. It was over $4 a gallon this weekend and yet I filled up at $3.82 in Unity (!) on Saturday.
Perhaps if the school administration were to put out a quality product, the Gov wouldn't have as much to say.
She is being a good foot soldier for the Democrats and will be rewarded, most likely with plum job in Washington. She makes no bones about being a hard left liberal, even when most people are completely fed up with the hard left and hard right. I really don't think she stands a chance. Both parties need to smarten up or they will be reduced to irrelevancy. But then again, it that really a bad thing? It would be nice if there were a sudden outbreak of common sense in politics today, state wide and federally.
