Brenda, news 13's report says

Brenda, news 13's report says the babys mother said the ten year old is the daughter of the babysitter. I guess that answers that question

From some comments I just

From some comments I just read, it seems some people are saying the girl was not the babysitter. I dont know if the have personal knowledge of it but I read the article three times and still dont see where it leads one way or the other.

Unfortunately for this little

Unfortunately for this little girl, she didn't have to mean to do it. Thats why its manslaughter and not murder. Manslaughter only requires that she acted "recklessly or with criminal negligence." I don't want to jump the gun and say much until the whole storey is out but if the baby was left alone with a ten year old, especially for the night, then the parents of the baby are the ones that acted with negligence. I have a daughter that is almost ten and she is extremely bright but I would not put the responsibilty of an infant on her. There are a lot of adults that cant hanle the stress ofa baby never mind a ten year old.

Well the company that

Well the company that installed the equipment may be saying it needs to be upgraded, it is supported by the reports from the deputies. You mention a car with a blown fuse? Now add that you decide not to replace the car and just plug in a new fuse. It blows again and you fix it again. Now you are in the middle of no where with no spare fuse (a the officer with no back up) and the fuse blows (the officer is in a fight) and your stuck. You probably wish you would have just got rid of the car for a new one because now you see the fuse problem is a bigger problem then you thought.

Reports

The reports they mention are from Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office personell...ie. deputies that have trouble in certain spots. From someone that uses county dispatch as an officer, I know how difficult it can be to reach the dispatcher when needed. It is dangerous in many situations if you are trying to ask for back up or even if the dispatcher is trying to check on you and you are trying to respond by telling them you are all set but they can not hear you. Other officers or deputies come to help you from a good distance away. this can be dangerous as well because they try to get to you quickly and you dont even need the help. It needs to be fixed one way or another

Audrey, if you are going to

Audrey, if you are going to get on your soap box, don't make yourself sound so ignorant and uninformed. Mr. Estes was not the boyfriend. He was the neighbor that helped wake everone to get them out. He lived upstairs and tried opening the door to the victim's apartment. Read a little more carefully before you smear people's names. Thank you ma'am.

Not allowed

Instead of posting this story like it is ok, maybe you should post a photo of the sign right beside the fountain that says it's not for human contact. The water circulates all day long with minimum chlorine. That means, a person stands in the water and then throughout the day, the chlorine evaporates and when people stand in it, it is the same water that ran off another person's body earlier. So, unless people like to share bath water with a bunch of strangers, they probably shouldn't be standing in the fountain that was intended to be decorative. As someone that is a citizen of Auburn, it is embarassing to see people standing, bathing in this fountain.

Email

I don't see how they can try to make him change his personal email account. Are they saying I can't open an email account that says olympicssuck@yahoo. I dont think so. They may have rights to the word when used in the name of an event but not someones personal e mail. Bullies I tell you

I don't get what this "free

I don't get what this "free breakfast" thing is all about. Maybe I missed something; however, would you rather your tax money, if you pay taxes (not saying you don not but you never know these days), go to more state benefits for these drug dealers and abusers? Just a question.

Blame?

I think it's sad that everything is blamed on one politician or another. These things that are happening in Lewiston do not have much to do with the economy or jobs. These people are scumbags that wouldn't work if they were offered a job for 25 bucks an hour. They're lazy and they know there's more money in selling drugs. I don't think most people realize how much money these turds make selling their garbage. Now the violence is happening over turf and rival gangs moving in. Don't be blind folks. This is real stuff happening and as long as there are so many "crack heads" willing to buy this trash, the dealers will not go anywhere and they will multiply.
