Just what Maine needs is more taxes. People living in the rural areas of Maine cannot afford the taxes that are now in place. But then that is the way democrats seem to see things these days, just keep on spending and keep on taxing till they have it all.
I can't believe that a little snow, yes 5 or 6 inches is a little, when you compare it to the amounts we have here in Alaska and the schools still seem to operate.
I see no problem with this. People have to be tested for employment, school, sports almost everything these days.
I wonder how many of Maine's birds will meet the fate of those in other states with wind farms. But let me see that's ok according to the government and enviormentalists because it's green energy. Anyone else harms an eagle and heavy fines and/or jail time occurs. Is this a double standard. I mean aren't we the people supposed to be the government? Maybe it's time that wind power facts are checked.
I have lived in quite a few states and all have required that the voter be registered at least 30 days before the election. I think this should happen in all states.
Guess you should have listened a little better. It is up to the President what gets paid. He is using it as a tactic to scare everyone in the country. It is the way of government, can't get what you want, scare the population that will be effected the most. An an individual 65, I find it hard to believe that the entire senior population of this country believes everything that the mainstream media throws out there.
Older people are usually the ones who do register to vote so don't use that. I see no problem whatsoever with requiring preregistration or for that matter having to show identification when going into vote. And don't say Maine doesn't have voter fraud because it does just like all the other states.
I don't think it's so much to protect the voters as those who are up for election.
Doesn't seem to me that organized labor should have anything like that in a state building.
We have more then enough resources to fuel this country, only one problem, the government wants to lock all those resources up. It would rather obtain them from foreign sources. They would rather build a pipeline from Canada, that will carry toxic oil if there is a spill, Texas. It is a pipeline that none of the western states want but the President thinks it's great. Another foreign source. It is time to drill here at home. Green cannot provide the energy that is needed for at least 20 or 30 years.
Maine is a snow state, it should be open for business. If all the businesses in Alaska closed for snow days, especially the cities and towns, they would be closed all winter and it's longer here believe me. I get to say these things about Maine, I lived in Maine till I was 20. Came back a few years ago after retiring but found that Maine was not the same at all. Guess that old saying is true, you can't go home again. Alaska is home and open.
