I wonder if the dozen or so

I wonder if the dozen or so shirts hanging up in the room tipped her off. A "computer guy in town for a conference" usually doesn't stick around long enough to wear a week's worth of clothes.

Candiceanne, are you saying

Candiceanne, are you saying that 90% of teachers in Auburn took an increase in pay and spousal insurance at the cost of 10% of their peers? Here's a little info for ya. The school board offered teachers a $6,000/year increase in salary to drop spousal insurance. Sounds like a good deal if you don't have a spouse, but pretty devistating if you have a spouse who is terminally ill and can not get insurance, right? Well, approx. 50% of Auburn teachers do not need spousal insurance, yet they took a hit for those who do. Get your facts straight before you infer that Auburn teachers don't care about their co-workers. A $6,000 pay increase, especially in this economy, ON TOP of a cost of living raise sounds pretty sweet. Would you take the money knowing that your co-worker would be financial devistated? Something tells me yes.

CatTailMom yes, there are

CatTailMom yes, there are some people who value money more than education. It's the "who cares about anyone else as long as it benifits me" mentality.

MomOfTwo, you show your

MomOfTwo, you show your ignorance when you say that workshop days are days off. If they were days off they would not be called WORKshop days. And when there are snow days, extra days are tacked on to the end of the school year to make up for those days off. You sound very bitter; I hope your two kids aren't as negative as you are toward those with whom they spend the majority of their day - teachers. Actually, I hope they are home schooled. Negativity breeds negativity.

1. Superintendent Salary Mr.

1. Superintendent Salary
Mr. Das, Chair, recommended the annual salary for the position of Superintendent for the 2009-10 school year. He noted that Mr. Morrill is in the third year of a three- year contract and recommended a 2.1% salary adjustment to $105,163.
It was moved by Mr. Pelletier, seconded by Mr. Bussiere and voted unanimously to approve the recommended annual salary for the position of Superintendent for the 2009-10 school year.

I think everybody needs to be aware that the superintendent got his raise this year. This information can be seen on the school committee minutes.
