I understand your comments and agree to some of it. State workers do get free medical , life and dental,ONLY if and when they have 10 yrs in. The good thing about my insurance is I have to pay for a percentage of it being retired early it helps defray costs. I would pay the same from the outside for HMO's with less coverage. And I believe that everyone should pay a percentage it would be less stress on state budget. It is a Union agreed plan. and unions arent that bad when you think of how employers can take advantage of their workers. I have worked for a major national employer with them and they protect rights. But i dont take you as being rude and appreciate your comment.
he had a bit of sense he should realized that his comments were abrupt, rude, and totally not retractable. His leadership leave much to be desired and I feel bad for those that believed so strongly in him. His treatment of state workers is a joke and also that of the press..People print what they hear not what he concludes they should.
61% did not agree with his election.
When i retired from state they were thinking about changing plans. Some of the state has Aetna. I pay for a percentage as I didnt have enough time to get it free . But so glad I have a different insurance. Cant believe that this could happen to us. maybe businesses that have Anthem should switch let Anthem feel the crunch its making others feel by refusing service with dedicated providers.
At least Ms Windsor will be able to recoup the $300 thousand plus she paid on inheritance taxes. Not opposed or against gay marriage I believe everyone should have the opportunity to be with someone they love. If you believe in a god thenyou should know he will be the final judge .
I firmly believe that something has to be done. My daughter rented with a particular landlord and he totally did not respond to her on going request. Until the rest of the building noticed the same situation and complained. A few went to the city with complaints. I'm glad that pine Tree is advising landlords on what they must do , giving them that heads up on what tenants rights are and what is expected is wise and I applaud Mayor Macdonald. Landlords ,a few in particular, need to be kept honest and liable with their buildings. What looks good on the outside doesnt always match up on the interior. Tenants also need to be held responsible if the damage was solely theirs. Many move from building to building and it almost seems like references are not checked more thoroughly.
I had family in this conflict. Dont know how old you are but pictures and European press dont lie.. Check online back in that time and see just what happen . The men and women came home to be disgraced and treated like nothing. It took many years before they were acknowledged as heroes. My brother died from agent orange it took years for the government to accept this for vets and 1 yr after he passed the VA offered settlement. SO yeah to Big G's for respecting these HEROES.
I worked at the office in which it was removed from. . i found it inspiring and not the bit controversial. it showed the struggles of Franco Americans and others in this country. I retired last july and beleive I had a view of this mural. I am sure I saw it in the DOL building in a more secured area when a door was left open. Still, if this governor cant realize that this is part of Maine history then why do we need him. 61% didnt not want him. and next election assured he will probably hang up his hats. Voters spoke by putting in reps that are not of his calling.
Amazing how SHE know about these 19000 and hide it and then had the NERVE to stand by this man to cut monies to people and programs that really need that money or assistance. It totally befuddles me to think how our state is being lead array and their excuses around every block. Me thinks the administration knew and used other means to try and cut monies. Now that it has come to light, they walk away and wont let it be audited. SHAME ON THIS ADMINISTRATION AND HIS LACKEYS! !
