This is just another example of the state sticking it's nose in where it should have. They don't believe in the old adage " If it ain't broke, don't fix it ! ".

Lawmakers pay

It does not suprise me that they killed this. They have a racket going here with their pay. They vote in their own raises and insurance while we normal working folks have to beg for a raise and pay for most or all of our insurance. They don't give a hoot about the people in this state, because if they did they would clean up this mess and fix all of the problems in Augusta instead of bickering and acting like a bunch of grammer school kids. And Washington is even worse than Augusta. None of them seems to care that this country is going to h--l in a hand basket and that they ALL are the reason for it. If they would just grow up and act like resposible adults then the country could move foreward.

Gas pipe line

I am opposed to the use of the railroad as the means of running the pipe line from Jay to Farmington. I believe that if that is done then you could never use the land for an active railroad again. This cannot be allowed to happen as we may need to run rails back to Farmington in the future. We cannot lose this option for future growth and developement. This would be very short sighted and would be doing something to gain a little in the short term while sacrificing the future for our children and grandchildren. We do this too often now. We need to make sure that this does not happen. I am not opposed to the pipe line, just run it somewhere else. And yes, I do live and own property in Farmington and have for years.
