If teaching is such an easy job with little hours and great pay and benefits then why isn't everyone doing it? Isn't there a shortage of teachers throughout this nation?

Why do so many non-teachers think that teachers have these laid back cupcake hours? So school goes from 7:45-2:15. That is when they are teaching. What about time spent with parents, individual students, meetings, test and homework correction, and functions. My wife is a teacher and at school before 7:00 a.m everyday. She usually stays there past 4:00 p.m and then still brings work home. Most teachers do not get all there work done in their 8 hour day. If teachrs had an hourly wage then the taxpayers would really be complaining. Teachers are the most overworked and underpaid professionals out there. Wake up people.

I live with two teachers. They are the most underpaid/overworked professionals that I know. I don't think partial health care coverage for their spouses is a lot to ask for. Many parents don't realize the dedication teachers have for preparing there sons and daughters for this world.

Very, very few people hunt bear without bait or dogs. I don't really see what the problem is or what that has to do with him getting bit.
