Don't we have a leash law in Maine?
We're still 11 cents above average and a 2 cent drop is newsworthy?
This is great! I am so excited to hear about this program. No one has any idea how debilitating panic is unless they've experienced it. It is great that there is another alternative to drugs and regular talk therapy. Great job!
I agree that we have to start somewhere to stop the bleeding this state. I feel that this time LePage is right when he said the current welfare system is not working so why would we expand it? We aren't heartless to want those that can work to go out and do so. Are there people that need to use it? Yes. Are there MANY that don't need to use and do? Yes. It's getting ridiculous. As far as people using the ER more....it's time to put some limits on that as well. Do you really need to be in the ER at 4:30 in the afternoon for a sore throat? Why didn't you seek an appointment with a primary care physician? It's just getting out of control and we need to start to reel this in.
We have to start somewhere and I am glad that it is finally being investigated. It's ridiculous the amount of fraud I see on a daily basis.
I find it ridiculous that the kids are going to go to school until June 18th and seniors possibly having to go to school after graduation if we get any more snow days, but we will still take April vacation. What sense does that make?? Time to consider whether a vacation in February and then a vacation in April really makes sense in Maine. I don't believe that the kids are getting much out of school that far into June when it is 95 degrees outside.
I am glad this subject is being discussed. It is about time we start looking at the welfare system and making some cuts. While there are many who need it, there are just as many that abuse it and we have to start doing something about it. It should be assistance until you get onto your feet and not a way of life. Limiting what is able to be purchased with an EBT card is a great idea as well. If you have to rely on someone else to feed you and take care of you, you should expect some limitations.
I am shocked and appalled that this happened to anyone with a disability. Where is the empathy in people today?? I just don't understand how people can be so hateful and disrespectful. It's ridiculous.
Kids will drink, but parents allowing their kids to drink is not going to solve that problem. First of all as a parent, I would not want the responsibility that comes with trying to keep a bunch of drunk teenagers under control and out of a vehicle.
