You have no clue about what the men and women of the fire service do on a daily basis do you? The training and maintenance of the equipment is a constant battle. They aren't paid as well as you might think. Nobody joins police, fire, or ems for the money. They sure as heck don't do it for the long frigid nights battling chimney fires or extricating victims from crushed vehicles. They do it to serve their communities and when people like you belittle their sacrifices and the time spent away from their families it makes you look like a fool. The next time you feel the need to call for their services do us all a favor and take care of your self. Have a great day and stay safe!
People die all the time because they drive a Kia instead of a Mercedes-Benz. What's your point. Should everyone be upgraded to a Benz? Life isn't fair and the sooner you realize that, the better off you'll be.
Jobs jobs jobs jobs jobs jobs. I can't say it enough. If our leadership would have focused on jobs instead of a half a$$ed health care law we'd probably be out of this recession by now. Instead, its two years later and unemployment is still at 10% give or take a percent or two depending on who you ask. The Obama administration has wasted our time and money on a concession to the HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES!!! They will now have 30 million new customers and there is no mechanism in place to REDUCE THE COST OF HEALTH CARE!!! Can they get it through their thick skulls? People just want the economy to recover and have more affordable health care. Not government mandated health care. The cost of health insurance is directly related to the cost of drugs and health services. Obama wanted this law passed just to say he did it. If he really thought it was a great law he would have had the whole thing take place during his first term. Of course he and his cronies knew that there would be more negatives than positives that would result by passing it and therefore most of the law doesn't take effect until the end of Obama's presidency in 2012. At that time he'll be nothing more than a footnote in our countries history but his crappy law will live on for our children and grand children to pay for. Thanks Mr. President!!! Oh, P.S.... JOBS!!!
If he would have had the firearm in a holster and left it on his side he would have been fine. We have an open carry law in the State of Maine. Places that are excluded from open carry are Federal buildings such as the post office as well as bars and school zones or private establishments who have posted the entrance to their buildings. The magazine on the table with one bullet beside it is proof that he removed the magazine and cleared the chambered round from the weapon in front of the other patrons. Playing with your firearm in front of people is just plain stupid. Carrying a sidearm is a choice that has real life consequences and shouldn't be taken lightly. I believe that RESPONSIBLE citizens have a duty to protect themselves and innocent people around them. Unfortunately this man is not responsible enough to carry a weapon. People need to research the law before they decide to carry a firearm or just leave it at home.
If you want total economic collapse then keep up the good work Mr. Senders. If you want us to be able to compete with countries like China and India then you may want to rethink your stance. We are effectively fighting with one hand tied behind our back. We can't expect to compete with others that are experiencing industrial revolution when we're more concerned about playing nice. We need to get back to being an international competitor.
The guy that killed all of those innocent people is a nut case and political rhetoric had nothing at all to do with it. The beauty of our country is that we can disagree with each other. We don't need to go overboard and agree just for the sake of being agreeable.

Maybe you have govt. cheese
Maybe you have govt. cheese in your ears. The law does NOTHING to reduce the cost of health care.
