JAY — Comprehensive Plan Committee members will meet Thursday, May 20, to continue work on developing a new plan.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the town office.
The Committee is charged with developing a new plan that will lead the town through the next decade and beyond.
They are working with Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments planner John Maloney.
They plan to discuss feedback on the 1996 Comprehensive Plan and hold discussions on inventories and analysis of the town’s assets. Among the assets are the 103-acre Parker Pond, Seven-Mile Stream, Androscoggin River, forests and woodlands and prime farmland soil, according to the committee’s information.
Committee members want public input, Town Manager Ruth Cushman said.
They plan to hold some visioning sessions in the future to see where residents would like to see the town in the future, she said.
