LISBON — A New England boiled dinner will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 27 Village St.

The supper is sponsored by Nina Rebekah Lodge 86 and Sabattus River Lodge 21 IOOF.

Cost: $8, adults; $3.50, children 12 and younger; free, preschool age.

MECHANIC FALLS — A ham and turkey supper will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at American Legion Post 150, 41 Elm St.

Cost: By donation.

AUBURN — William J. Rogers Post 153 Auxiliary, American Legion, will serve a chicken stew supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at 71 South Main St.

Take-out will be available, and there will be a 50/50 raffle.

Cost: $8, adults; $4, children younger than 10.

AUBURN — The Auburn United Methodist Church will hold a bean supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at 439 Park Ave.

Entertainment will be provided by the Park Avenue Pickers beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Cost: $8, adults; $4, children age 6 to 12; free, children younger than 6.

AUBURN — The Alden M. Gayton Auxiliary Unit 31, American Legion, will serve a ham supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Post, 426 Washington St. North.

The will be a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds support veteran and Auxiliary programs.

LISBON FALLS — The Methodist Women of Lisbon United Methodist Church will serve a supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, on School Street. 

Cost: $8, adults; $3, children ages 6 to 12; free, children 5 and younger.

LIVERMORE FALLS — The First Baptist Church will resume its monthly luncheons from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 23, at 25 Church St.

Lunches are held on the fourth Saturday of the month September to June.

All are welcome. The church is handicapped accessible.

PARIS — The American Legion will serve a chicken pie supper with Italian Christmas cookies from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at 12 Church St.

Cost: $8, adults; $4, children 12 and younger.

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will serve a bean hole bean lunch during its annual Barn and Harvest Sale from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at 50 Main St., Route 219.

TURNER — A chicken pie supper will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the Turner Center Universalist Church, Route 117, across from the gazebo.
 
Menu will include pie, stuffing, veggies, cranberry sauce, coffee, tea, punch and apple crisp.

Donations will be accepted.

DURHAM — A barbecued chicken dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Durham Friends Meetinghouse, to benefit the Kakamega Orphans Care Centre in Western Kenya.

This is the 15th anniversary of the centre, and there will be a slide presentation following the dinner, showing how the project has grown and how it is moving over the next 15 years.

Price: $15, adults; $12, seniors/teens; $6, children; discounts for reservations. Call 318-8531. There will be side dishes and pie.
