The Paris Public Library is holding a “Cool Chances” raffle as part of its fundraising campaign to install air conditioning. The tickets cost $10 each and participants may choose which of five prizes they would like to win. The prize choices include a Shaker end table crafted by Kyle Martin, an Adirondack chair and side table built by Charlotte England, a turned wooden bowl by Bruce May, a gathering basket woven by Karen Ellis and filled with gardening related items, or a color Nook e-book reader. Tickets may be purchased at the library’s circulation desk. The drawing is being held on Wednesday, June 1. The library is raising $15,000 to install a split ductless air conditioning system. For more information, or to obtain tickets, call the library at 743-6994, or e-mail paris.public.library@MSLN.net.
