On May 14 the Girl Scout Troop #1498 of Hartford, Sumner and Buckfield had their meeting at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society at 55 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston. Before touring the shelter and visiting with the animals, they presented donations of pet toys, food towels and litter for the shelter’s homeless animals. The items generously donated will help with the care of the thousands of unwanted animals the Humane Society helps each year.
