Constance P. Bussiere


AUBURN – Constance P. Bussiere passed away at home after a sudden illness on July 16.

She was born in Lewiston on June 25, 1939, the daughter of the late Bertrand Jalbert Sr. and the late Graziella Fortier. On Nov. 22, 1958, she married the late Robert R. Bussiere.

Connie was employed at several places in her life, including Raytheon and Marois Restaurant. She had many hobbies and enjoyed creating all types of greeting cards and calendars from her computer. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with special fondness for her “little pumpkin” Cassady, who will miss her memere more than words can say.

She is survived by four sons, James of Portland, Daniel of Auburn, Thomas of Lewiston and Scott, and his wife, Lisa, of Auburn; one daughter, Joan Leclair, and her husband, Stephen, of Livermore; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a very loved and special sister, Faye Gregory of Texas; a sister, Doris Jalbert of Lewiston; two brothers, Robert Jalbert and Bertrand Jalbert Jr., both of Lewiston; several brothers and sisters-in-laws; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Feb. 14; and a son, John Bussiere Feb. 4, 1995.

The family would like to say a special thank-you to the doctors and staff at CMMC for the wonderful care given to our mother. Also, our sincere gratitude to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the excellent attention and care they provided to Connie and the family during this difficult time.
