250th anniversary celebrated at Maine Fort

STOCKTON SPRINGS (AP) — The 250th anniversary of Maine's Fort Pownal is being celebrated this weekend at Fort Point State Park in Stockton Springs.
Organizers said the celebration features colonial reenactments, historic demonstrations, children's activities, a parade and a commemorative ceremony.
Tours of the Fort Point lighthouse will be given each day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
