Bellwood joins Clinical Services

LEWISTON — The staff at Community Clinical Services Women's Health Associates announces that midwife Lori Bellwood has joined its staff.

She had been on the staff during the 1990s. Most recently, Bellwood cared for women at Coastal Women's Healthcare in Scarborough. She also served as a nurse educator at the Central Maine College of Nursing and Health Professionals. She also served as a midwife at Central Maine Obstetrics and Gynecology at Central Maine Medical Center.

Bellwood earned her master of science in nursing degree at Case Western Reserve University and her certificate of nurse-midwifery from the Frontier School of Nurse Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, Ky. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the Maine Chapter of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, and the ACC Continuing Education Requirements.

As an advanced-practice nurse, as well as a nurse-midwife, Bellwood can also provide primary care services to her patients.

Women's Health Associates is affiliated with St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and is located at 330 Sabattus St., Lewiston.
