Convertible rolls injuring driver

MECHANIC FALLS – One woman was seriously injured when her late-model convertible rolled over on Route 121, near the center of town, at 10:20 p.m. Thursday. She was alone in the car at the time, according to Mechanic Falls Police Chief Jeffrey Goss.

The vehicle left the road and landed in dirt beside Route 121, across from Dr. Lawrence Murch’s optometry office.

A Maine State Police reconstructionist was called in to assist the Mechanic Falls police, who were still at the scene shortly before 1 a.m. today.

Goss declined to give further details on the crash.
