FARMINGTON — A Farmington woman was treated at the scene of a two-car crash on the Wilton Road in the midst of heavy noontime traffic Friday.
Phyllis Lovejoy, 54, of Farmington was driving west when her car hit another leaving the Jade Palace Restaurant, said Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington Police Department secretary. Jordyn Libby, 23, of Kingfield was leaving the restaurant parking lot and turning left toward Farmington, Pomeroy said. A truck traveling west in the right-hand lane stopped to allow Libby to enter the highway and blocked both drivers’ view, she said.
Lovejoy was treated at the scene by NorthStar Ambulance personnel and released.
Farmington officer Michael Adcock estimated damage to Libby’s 2002 Volkswagen station wagon at about $10,000 and to Lovejoy’s Pontiac at about $5,000, Pomeroy said.
Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue assisted with traffic and cleanup.
