Customer service training announced


FARMINGTON – A customer service training, designed especially for “first point of contact” administrative staff or volunteers, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, in North Dining Hall A, University of Maine at Farmington. The training is free and includes lunch.

The meeting will be facilitated by Lesa Andreasen, president of BLF Inc. a human services management training and consulting firm in Freeport. Andreasen has had extensive experience in training diverse audiences in customer service. She also brings expertise with aging issues, mental health and Alzheimer’s care.

The agenda includes an introduction to general principles of effective customer service followed by small group discussions on what works and sharing strategies as well as learning new skills to address the challenges of working in customer service.

The training is sponsored by the Healthy Community Coalition and the Franklin Resource Network.
