Roger Turcotte’s letter of April 29 stating that “Nothing is free in Twin Cities” was only half right. For people who have resided here all or most of their lives and contributed toward its monetary support, that is very true.
Immigrants to our community receive free groceries, medical care, cheap rents, interest-free small business loans and a check every month. That’s money that could be used to keep our taxes down.
I know our city is a welfare haven, but this is ridiculous. What is behind all this?
Also, the $3 million spent on a new park will be used by whom?
