NORTH BERWICK — Dana M. Wade, 80, of North Berwick, passed away on Dec. 27, after a long illness.
Dana was born May 20, 1932, and raised in Livermore Falls. His parents were Leander A. and Marion (Wyman) Wade.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Jill; son, Steven; his brother, John and their respective families.
Dana served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army, followed by graduating from Burdett College, with an associate’s degree in business. His entire career was in office management for John Hancock Life Insurance. His work locations included Portland, Burlington, Vt., Lewiston and Dover, N.H.
Dana enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, Civil War history, genealogy and jazz music. He dedicated more than 25 years to the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 312. Dana and Marilyn participated in the “Volunteers in Parks” program at the Fort Sumter National Monument.
