AUBURN — The Mary Dillingham Chapter, DAR, will honor outstanding area high school seniors at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at the Auburn Public Library.

The students are winners of the annual DAR Good Citizens Award and the DAR National Defense Good Citizenship Medal Award.

They were chosen by their respective schools for outstanding citizenship, honesty, courage, service, leadership and patriotism.

The Good Citizens Award also provides the opportunity for the student to participate in the essay contest, for which scholarships are presented on the state and national levels. The DAR Good Citizens are chosen by the students and faculty of public and accredited schools, including home-schooled students.
