LISBON — The Burnt Meadow Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, has announced that Jennifer L. Chick is the DAR Good Citizen from Lisbon High School and Ian Oliver Bouffard is the DAR Good Citizen from Oak Hill High School.
Chick is a girls’ soccer manager, was student of the month in the ninth grade, student of the quarter in the 11th grade and also attended Girls State that year. She has been class president for three years and is interested in creative writing and English.
She plans to attend college and would like to be an English teacher and pursue writing. She tries to assist others wherever possible and hopes to better her country and its citizens.
Bouffard has participated in a jazz band, the drama club, the French club, ski club, is a member of the National Honor Society and is a physical education aid. He has participated in community projects to raise money for various projects and assisted in many Boy Scout activities.
He has worked after school at Bourque’s Park and Shop and Hebert’s Construction. He plans to attend college and to become and electrical engineer and to someday own his own business.
The Burnt Meadow Chapter will honor the students and their parents at a luncheon on April 10 at the Byras home in Bowdoin.
