Daughters make appointments


STONEHAM — Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, met March 24 at the community room. The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by President Marilyn Jones.

Frances Grant was appointed junior vice president pro tem in the absence of May Nihan. Leslie Dean was appointed color bearer 4 and Gail Butterfield was appointed guard.

Past National President Gail Butterfield installed Mary Jones as treasurer and Loretta Andrews  as chaplain.

Past Tent President Mary Jones installed Gail Butterfield as senior vice president. Council 1 plans for memorial were discussed. A supper was served after the meeting.

The next meeting will be Wednesday, April,  28 at the home of Marilyn Jones in Norway.
