1954 – 2014
TURNER — Debra J. Bellemare Duperey, 60, of Turner, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, after a courageous battle against ovarian cancer.
Debbie was born in Portland on March 31, 1954, the daughter of Jean and Theresa (Mastroluca) Bellemare. She grew up in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1972. Debbie married the love of her life, Michael Duperey, on Sept. 7, 1973.
Debbie was a homemaker and baby-sitter for her grandchildren. She loved camping and the ocean. One of her favorite places to be was Acadia National Park and camping in Bar Harbor. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, and she was very involved in their lives and activities.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Duperey Barry and her husband, Joseph, of Turner and their children, Michael, Matthew and Kristen; her mother, Theresa Bellemare, of Auburn; her brother, Michael Bellemare and his wife, Ann, of Mechanic Falls and his daughter, Jodi Robichaud and her husband, Brad, and their children, Jay and Caleb, of Lewiston; as well as extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Michael Duperey; and her father, Jean Bellemare.
