AUGUSTA — Delia A. Dumont, 43, of Augusta died Monday, May 17, at Maine General Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston, March 15, 1967, the daughter of Joseph A. and the late Lucille (Rancourt) Jalbert.
She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a graduate of the Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing and was currently employed as a registered nurse for the Winship Greens Health Care Facility in Winthrop.
She spent most of her life in pain, but never let it stop her from being a good wife, raising three children, holding a job to support her family. She was the epiphany of a hockey mom for her three children, giving them every opportunity to play the sport no matter what.
She will be greatly missed by her father and stepmother, Lilianne, both of Lewiston; one son, Cameron of Turner; two daughters, Shaelie and Courtney, both of Augusta; Delia’s new love and companion, Chris Smith; two brothers, David and Dominic Jalbert, both of Auburn; two sisters, Delores Grondin and her companion, Richard Hussey and Diane Jalbert, all of Lewiston; a stepsister, Roxanne Couillard and husband, Phil, of Greene; a stepbrother, Daniel Rancourt and companion, Sandra Brooks of Lewiston; an uncle; an aunt; and cousins.
