Derrick J. Morris


SABATTUS – Derrick J. Morris, 24, of Sabattus, passed away in his sleep Wednesday, May 3.

He was born in Lewiston on March 22, 1982, the son and stepson of Robert and Elaine Chenard and the son of the late Allan Morris; and stepmother, Sherri Morris.

He graduated from Oak Hill High School in 2000, and Central Maine Community College with a degree in Culinary Arts. He was employed at St. Francis House in Auburn as a Chef.

He enjoyed playing his X-Box 360, football, music, loved to cook, and hanging out with his friends. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He was known to everyone as happy, fun-loving, and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather; a sister, Tammy Morris of Lisbon Falls; two stepbrothers, Brian and Tyler Chenard, both of Sabattus; two stepsisters, Michelle and Jennifer; a stepbrother, Jeremy; grandparents, Angelo and Dolores Bilodeau of Lewiston; grandparents, Bill and Alberta Morris of Turner; a stepgrandmother, Pauline Chenard of Lewiston; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and will be sadly missed by his friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Allan Morris April 2; and his cousin, Dana Bilodeau.
