1944 – 2016
LEWISTON — Diana M. (DeVoe) Francoeur, 72, of Franklin Street, Lewiston, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, May 26, after a courageous battle with cancer. Diana chose to take the most aggressive route of treatment and her unmatchable spirit and drive to beat it never dwindled for a moment throughout her whole fight.
Born in Lewiston on May 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George and Norma (Ouellette) DeVoe.
She was a member of the Lewiston Pastime Club and Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
Diana enjoyed spending time with her family, music, planting, dancing, watching her grandchildren play sports and she loved animals, especially her Chihuahua, “Oreo.”
She was an amazing cook who loved to prepare meals for her family.
Diana is survived by her loving husband, Leon, of Lewiston; two sons, Kevin of Minot and Rodney and his wife, Anissa, of Minot; a daughter, Christy King and her husband, Jamie, of Lewiston; and by one brother, Daniel DeVoe of Florida. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Cody, Hunter, Zack, Kourtney, Taylor, Isaac, Brynn, Bryce and Amber; and two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Brentley.
Diana had the most beautiful, loving heart and soul. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room she walked into. She was a mom, daughter, wife, grammy and friend. She treated every human with the same level of respect. She will be remembered for her unselfish and caring ways. She will forever live in the hearts she touched.
