DIXFIELD — The following incidents were handled recently by the Dixfield Police Department.
Someone turned the sump hose back into the basement of a Weld Street residence sometime during the night of April 21, prompting the accumulation of at least 9 inches of water. The resident had pointed the hose outside the basement after water began accumulating. At 8:23 a.m. April 23, she reported that someone had reversed the direction of the hose. Little damage occurred to the items in the basement because they were placed on blocks.
A new bicycle, valued at $100, was taken sometime on April 30 from the yard of Dirigo Middle School. An 11-year-old boy had left it there while jogging, then returned to find it missing. The theft was reported at 9:53 a.m., May 1.
