LEWISTON — On Sunday, Feb. 12, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Dominique P. Turmenne went to join his wife, Muriel, in Heaven.
Dom was born May 13, 1925, in Lewiston, to Edmond and Laura Turmenne. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he eventually retired after many years as a sheet metal worker in Local 545.
Our dad was an avid ‘tinkerer’ and could do just about anything. He especially enjoyed hours spent boating and fishing with mom. He was dedicated to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all.
He is survived by two daughters, Liset Higgs and her husband, David and Claire Chandler and her husband, Gary; two sons, Marcel Turmenne and his wife, Linda and Ron Turmenne and his wife, Vicki; a sister, Gemma Boucher of California; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Muriel Poisson; and his parents.
A special thanks goes to the assisted living staff at Clover Health Care for the love and dedicated care given to our dad during the last 6 years of his life.
