Dominique Perreault

1922 – 2014

SEABROOK, N.H. — Dominique Perreault, 92, of Seabrook, N.H., passed into eternal life on Sunday, Dec. 28, while surrounded by his family.

Dom was born in Lewiston on Aug. 13, 1922. He was born into a family of 15 children, only eight of whom survived past childhood. His tireless personality was passed down by his mother and father, who taught him at a very young age that the ladder of success is not climbed with your hands in your pockets.

He served in the U.S. Navy, and while abroad he met his future wife, Diletta “Della” Abbruzzese. They later married and had one beautiful daughter, Christine Perreault Harbadin. They spent their years together, with their large families, working, living and being close by their sides.

In 1975, a few years after Della’s passing, he purchased the Drift Motel in Hampton Beach, N.H. He spent 31 years building not just a business, but memories for all those who had the pleasure of working for and staying with him. During those years, Dom created an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life.

In 1981, he met and married the beautiful Rhea Briand. During their 33 years of marriage, they traveled the world together and actively participated in their church, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish, and they were the tie that bound a family together. Dom was always perceived as the patriarch to the Perreault family, but throughout the years, he became revered and highly regarded by Rhea’s brothers, nieces, nephews and 26 great-grandnieces and -nephews.

His spirit is carried on by his daughter, Christine; his two granddaughters, Cherilyn and Kelly; and his one great-granddaughter, Della. Rhea’s heart will forever be filled with love for Dominique. A lifetime of love will be carried on in his death as it was in his life. He sleeps with angels beside his mother and father, his first wife, his brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews, and he will be welcomed into Heaven by the open arms of so many people who have known and loved him for many years.
