MEXICO — Funeral services for Donald E. Haines of Rumford, and formerly of Mexico for most of his life, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Mexico First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Peters officiating.
Music included “Amazing Grace,” “ Wonderful Change in my Life,” “Sweetest Name I Know” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Special music included “He Is Exalted,” sung by pianist Gail Dorr; “The Love of God,” sung by George Leadbetter; “The Lord’s Prayer,” a piano and organ duet by Timothy and Nicholas Blodgett, “It Is Well,” sung by the church choir, and “How Great Thou Art,” by pianist Timothy Blodgett.
Words of remembrance, prayers and readings were given by Robert Peters, G. Alden Taylor, Larry Shaw, Steve Park, George Leadbetter, Ted Ruark, John Holiday, Bob Sloma and Dale Thompson. The message was given by Robert Peters, who also read several letters from friends.
Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Robert Peters at the Mexico Baptist Cemetery. A reception followed in the meeting hall of the church.
