1944 – 2016
Auburn — Donald Howard Pelletier, 72, of Auburn died Wednesday, Aug. 24, at Androscoggin Home and Hospice House, with his family by his side.
Born in Lewiston on March 20, 1944, a son of the late Jeremie and Lucille Girardin Pelletier. Donald was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at Sacred Heart Church, attended Edward Little High School and worked as a carpenter for H.E. Callahan.
He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather to all of his family members. He enjoyed working with hands and hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Judy Turner of Auburn, whom he married April 24, 1964; his children, Mary Ann Chabot and husband, Lucien Chabot, of South Paris, John Pelletier and wife, Silvia, of Texas, Debbie Pelletier of New York; four grandchildren, Melanie, Christina, Lucien Chabot and Isabella Pelletier; great-grandchildren, Carter Martin, Shaylee, Nevaeh, and Jonathan Ethridge; sisters and brothers, Connie Michaud, Frances Levesque, Carmen Lemay, Sandy and Rene Camires, Danny, Mike, Claude and Andy Pelletier; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth and Charlie Bean.
He was predeceased by his son, Ronald Pelletier.
The family wishes to thank Clover and the Hospice House for the loving care they showed to Donald and his family in his last days of his life.
