LIVERMORE — The Livermore Town Office is accepting donations to help Jenavieve Luciano-Feith, who was injured Thursday afternoon while skiing at Black Mountain in Rumford.

The student at Spruce Mountain Middle School was making her last run of the day when she hit a tree and suffered severe injuries. She was wearing a helmet.

Jenavieve, the daughter of Anne and Mark Feith. was taken to Rumford Hospital, and then airlifted to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland. She sustained a hole in her lung, a bruised kidney and a slightly bruised and bleeding liver.

Ann Hammond, who started the fundraiser, said she is a close friend to Jenavieve’s grandparents Norma and John “Diddy” Luciano. They are caring for Jenavieve’s siblings and taking them to hockey games.

“People are so nice in our towns. They’re dropping money off one after another,” Hammond said Friday afternoon. “Jenavieve’s liver has stopped bleeding. That’s a good sign.”

She said donations will be used to help cover transportation costs and medical bills.

Livermore Town Clerk Renda Guild said she wants the community to know how much they are appreciated.

“When something happens,” she said, “this community pulls together.”

On Friday afternoon, Fayette resident Don Simoneau posted on Facebook that he was taking one of his handcrafted, solid-mahogany rolling pins to the Town Office to be used toward the fundraiser.

Deputy Town Clerk Jean Tardif later posted, “If you’d like to have this beautiful rolling pin, come see us at the Town Office and you can sign up to win this with every donation.”

Aunt Christy Griffin has also set up a GoFundMe page — https://www.gofundme.com/56tbzag?member=8100. There, she says her sister is a single mom who does have insurance. She will miss work and insurance will not cover everything.

Guild said those wishing to donate at the Town Office should make checks payable to Anne Feith.
