LISBON FALLS — Dorothy E. Feely, 95, of Lisbon passed away in her daughters arms on Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Lisbon Falls.
She was born in Lewiston, July 5, 1917, a daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Hallow) Emerson. She grew up in the Lewiston area and attended Lewiston schools. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1936.
On July 4, 1937, she married her husband, Alfred Feely and they started and raised a family together. During that time, she worked as a spinner for Worombo Mill in Lisbon Falls. She will always be remembered for her love of sewing, playing Bingo, Yahtzee and cribbage, shopping, making puzzles, gardening, traveling, stopping at yard sales and spending quality time with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Thomas and his wife, Lauretta, of Sabattus, Michael and his wife, Barbara, of Poland, Jeffrey of Durham, Daniel and his wife, Kris, of Lewiston and Peter Michael; her daughters, Nancy Jones and her husband, Jerry, of Alabama, Brenda Small of Sabattus, Jacqueline Moles and her husband, Larry, of Florida, Grace Farnhum and her husband, John, of Lisbon, Betty Marshall and her husband, James, of Bowdoin and Debbie Hill and her husband, Glen, of Lisbon Falls; a half brother, Sonny Emerson of Poland; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
